Cette table ronde portera sur l’occupation américaine en Asie orientale après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, sur la manière dont elle a façonné la justice rendue pour les crimes commis pendant la guerre, et sur la réception de cette « justice des vainqueurs » à l’échelle régionale.
Barak Kushner (Université de Cambridge) et Adam Cathcart (Université de Leeds) y présenteront leurs travaux inédits en cours.
La discussion sera assurée par Florence Galmiche (Université Paris-Cité/CCJ-CRC), Michael Lucken (Inalco/IFRAE) et Fabrice Virgili (Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne/Sirice).

This panel will focus on the American occupation of East Asia after the Second World War, how it shaped justice for crimes committed during the war, and the reception of this « justice of the victors » at the regional level.
Barak Kushner (Cambridge University) and Adam Cathcart (Leeds University) will present their unpublished work in progress.
The discussion will be led by Florence Galmiche (Université Paris-Cité/CCJ-CRC), Michael Lucken (Inalco/IFRAE) and Fabrice Virgili (Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne/Sirice).
