Marco Mondini (1974) studied at the University of Pisa from which he got his Laurea, and at the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa, where he got a Master in History and his PhD (2003) in Contemporary History. - He has been a Post Doctoral Fellow at the University of Padua (2003-2005) and a Research Fellow at the Scuola Normale Superiore (2006-2010). - Currently, he is a Researcher at the Istituto Storico Italo Germanico (ISIG-FBK) in Trento, where he is also team leader of the research project "1914-1918", and an Adjunct Professor in Military European History at the University of Padua. - He was a visiting fellow at the ENS of Paris (2006), a visiting professor at the University of Lille 3 "Charles de Gaulle" (2009-2010) and at the University of Paris 7 - Diderot (2013). - He is a member of the Centre International de Recherche - Historial de la Grande Guerre di Péronne, a section editor for "1914-1918 online. International Encyclopedia of the First World War" and a scientific consultant for the Italian government office for the Centenary of the First World War. - He is also a coordinator of the research projects: « The Austrian-Italian front » (UMR Sirice - Inalco - ISIG-FBK - University of Padua) and « Science, communication and technology in Italy 1914-1918 » (funded by the Italian Centenary Committee).
